Holidays on the Adriatic coast of Puglia in Southern Italy.

David and Leonie have been running Il Collegio Holidays in Italy for the past nineteen years. Originally based in Tuscany, they are now settled in the sunny, exotic 'heel' of Italy where they continue to provide friendly small-group holidays for people who want a genuine taste of the real Italy.

Organised by Chalk the Sun Creative Writing, Hosted by Il Collegio Holidays at Masseria Impisi.
After the successful course that was held in 2011 we are pleased to welcome back the tutors from 'Chalk the Sun'.
Guests can explore their creative potential in five intensive days of writing, eating delicious home-cooked food, drinking local wine and swimming in the natural rock pool or simply sun lounging. Places are limited so click the link to the Chalk the Sun website for full details.

PLEASURES of PUGLIA ACTIVITY HOLIDAY, This small group holiday (maximum12 people) aims to provide the best possible introduction to the culture, history and gastronomy of this lovely part of Puglia on walking, cycling and mini-bus excursions. The itinerary is flexible enough to allow plenty of walking, cycling and swimming combined with minibus travel and more leisurely exploration of places of interest. David and Aaron are your helpful guides and Leonie’s three or four course dinners using only fresh local produce and accompanied by local wines are a highlight of the holiday. Guests should have a reasonable level of fitness but need not be Olympic standard! Cycle rides and swimming are optional. The holiday includes- Transfers to/from Brindisi Airport, or Ostuni Rail Station. All excursions including museum/ cantina entrance fees, guides, interpreters and bike hire. Half-board accommodation at Masseria Impisi.

SELF CATERING and BED AND BREAKFAST.

Available during the spring, summer and early autumn at the tranquil Masseria Impisi. Accommodation in air conditioned, en-suite, twin or double bedded rooms. Exclusive use of the pool and extensive gardens. Set in ancient olive groves Impisi is a short drive to the historic hill town of Ostuni and to the coastal beaches and fishing ports of the Adriatic. Guests should make their own travel arrangements whilst in Italy. It is advisable to organise car hire at the same time as flight bookings. Impisi is less than 30 minutes from Brindisi airport (Ryanair, Alitalia)and just over the hour to Bari.(Ryanair, Alitalia, BA) Ryanair is still the most competitive carrier to Puglia. Eurostar connections at nearby Ostuni Rail Station.

Our well-loved and long established ten day ART HOLIDAY will be running in June and is now including more time to explore the inspiring art and culture of Puglia. There is time to get to know and understand your new environment, to decide what really interests you, to experiment and perhaps try new techniques, or develop your favourite medium so that you feel your work has really progressed. David is our resident tutor with many years teaching experience in U.K colleges and a respected professional artist. His talks and demos are always thought provoking, stimulating and helpful and the atmosphere is friendly and supportive, helping both advanced practitioners and complete beginners.
